Chocolate Banana Bread


This banana bread is a great one to mix it up! It super creamy with chunks of banana. When cold it tastes almost fudge like. This is such an easy recipe as well.


Ingredients:

1 1/2 cup whole wheat flour

1/4 cup cocoa powder, sifted

1 tsp salt

1 tsp baking soda

2 tsp cinnamon

1/4 cup canola oil

1 1/2 cup chunky mashed banana

1 egg

1 Tbsp vanilla

1/4 cup almond butter

1 cup almond milk

1 Tbsp honey

1/2 cup chocolate chips


Preheat oven to 350˙F. Grease a 9" loaf pan.


In a large bowl mix together flour, cocoa powder, salt, baking soda and cinnamon. In separate medium sized bowl whisk together oil, banana, egg, vanilla, almond butter, milk and honey. Whisk wet ingredients into dry ingredients until just incorporated. Fold in chocolate chips. Pour batter into prepared loaf pan.


Bake for 1 hour or until tooth pick inserted into centre comes out clean. Let cool for 15 minutes in loaf pan. Then remove and cool fully on a rack. Enjoy!
