Chocolate Cherry Bread Pudding

Here is another recipe featuring my challah bread recipe! A delicious individual bread pudding recipe. Cherry and chocolate is one of my favourite combinations!


Ingredients:

1 cup skim milk or almond milk

2 eggs

2 tsp vanilla

1/2 tsp cinnamon

pinch salt

3 cups challah bread, cubed

1/4 cup chocolate chips

3 Tbsp dried cherries


Optional: Vanilla ice cream


Servings: 5


Preheat oven to 350˚F. Grease 5 ramekins with oil.


In a small bowl mix together milk, eggs, vanilla, cinnamon and salt. In a separate bowl combine bread, chocolate and cherries. Pour liquid mixture over top and mix. Let sit for 2 minutes to allow bread soak up some of the mixture. Place into prepared ramekins.


Bakes for 25 minutes. Allow to cool a minute before serving. Optional: Garnish with scoop of vanilla ice cream. Enjoy!

Note:

Click photo below for fresh challah bread recipe! This will also work with store bought challah or a brioche loaf. But if you can try making the fresh challah bread to make this pudding, it tastes amazing!
