Homemade Granola

This is a great way to customize your granola to fit your personal preferences. This combination of dried fruits and nuts are my personal favourite but of course you can choose to substitute to any dried fruit or any nut.
Ingredients:
2 cups quick oats
1 tsp cinnamon
pinch salt
1/2 cup walnuts, rough chopped
3 Tbsp honey
1/4 cup dried strawberries, rough chopped
1/4 cup raisins
1/4 cup dried cranberries
1/2 cup dried coconut shreds
Preheat oven to 325ËšF.
In a mixing bowl toss together oats, cinnamon and salt and place on a parchment lined baking sheet. Bake for 12 minutes then rotate baking sheet in oven and bake another 12 minutes. Remove from oven and sprinkle walnuts evenly on top of oats. Bake for 5 minutes. Remove from oven and drizzle oats & nuts with honey. If your honey is hard, heat up slightly so it is easier to drizzle. Bake for 10 minutes rotate tray in oven and bake another 10 minutes.
While oats are baking toss together dried fruit with coconut. Once oats are done toasting top oats with dried fruit & coconut. Bake for 5 minutes. Remove from oven and allow to fully cool before storing in an air tight container.

Notes:
Feel free to substitute the dried fruits to your preferred choices. These are just my favourite choices.
All ovens are different so once you have added the honey ensure to keep an eye on the oats to ensure it doesn't burn. Here is a breakdown of the cooking times:
Oats, cinnamon & salt - 24 minutes *rotate halfway
Walnuts - 5 minutes
Honey - 20 minutes *rotate halfway
Dried fruit & coconut - 5 minutes
